Liability Release & Assumption of Risk

You accept this release when you book an activity on Adventroop (the checkbox at booking records your acceptance and its date). Read it — it affects your legal rights.

1. I understand the risks

Outdoor and physical activities — including surfing, climbing, hiking, camping, swimming, snow sports, cycling and similar — involve inherent risks: changing weather, water and terrain conditions, equipment failure, the acts of other participants, remote locations far from medical care, and physical exertion. These risks can lead to property damage, serious injury, disability or death. I am voluntarily choosing to participate with full knowledge of these risks.

2. I am fit to participate

• I am 18 or older and physically able to take part in the activity I booked.
• I have disclosed relevant medical conditions, allergies or limitations to the host in the booking notes, and I carry any personal medication I need.
• I will not participate under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

3. I will follow instructions

I will follow the host’s safety instructions, use required safety equipment, and stay within the bounds the host sets. The host may exclude me from part or all of the activity if my participation would be unsafe — for me or for others.

4. Release of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless Adventroop, its operators, and the activity host from any claims, demands or causes of action arising out of my participation in the activity — including those based on ordinary negligence — except where caused by gross negligence, recklessness or intentional misconduct. This release binds me, my family, heirs and assigns.

5. Emergency care

In an emergency, I authorize the host to seek medical care on my behalf, and I authorize the use of the emergency contact I provided at booking. Costs of medical care are my responsibility.

6. If you book for other people

You may book and pay for other participants. If you do, you represent and warrant that each person you book for has read and agreed to this release themselves, and it applies to each of them as though “I” referred to them. You are not signing it on their behalf — an adult cannot give up another adult’s rights — so if someone you booked for has not agreed, that is your responsibility, not the host’s or Adventroop’s.

After booking you can send each guest an invite link. When they claim their spot they create their own account, accept this release in their own name, and give the host their own contact and emergency details — which is what we recommend for every participant.

7. Severability

If any part of this release is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
